SOFT TISSUE INJURIES
Injuries to the gums, lips, tongue, or cheeks that cause bleeding or pain may need immediate care. Clean the area gently and apply pressure to stop bleeding. If the injury is severe or won’t stop bleeding, see your dentist or go to the emergency room.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Clean the wound with warm water and apply pressure using a clean cloth to stop bleeding.
If the bleeding continues or the injury is deep, seek immediate care from your dentist or an emergency room.
For minor injuries, rinse with salt water and apply ice to reduce swelling.
