ABSCESSED TOOTH OR GUM INFECTION
A dental abscess is a pocket of infection in the tooth or gums that can cause severe pain, swelling, and fever. If you notice swelling or pus around your gums or tooth, contact your dentist immediately to prevent the infection from spreading.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you have a tooth abscess, rinse your mouth with warm saltwater to help relieve pain and reduce swelling.
Do not attempt to pop the abscess, as this can spread the infection.
Contact your dentist immediately to get treatment and antibiotics if necessary.
